DESCRIPTION:
PLACE IN THE SILVER MILLENIUM: Leda was the Queen of the planet Sparta. I thought it would be interesting to have a senshi who had been the Queen of her planet instead of the princess, and since Leda was the Queen of Sparta, it fit well for this character. Sparta was the twin planet of Earth, located within the same orbital plain. It was always on the opposite side of the sun from Earth, so there was no danger of collision. Sparta had a moon called Cruithne. The people of Sparta knew of Queen Beryl and the Metallia cult on Earth, and they agreed with the people of Silver Millenium, that this cult was a danger to the solar system. When Beryl asked Queen Sparta to lend her help in the invasion of Silver Millenium, she refused, which is why Sparta was destroyed during this invasion. Cruithne escaped the destruction but now floats aimlessly in a horseshoe pattern around the sun, without a true mate.
OCCUPATION: Actress. Most of the work Leda gets is in melodramatic chick flick-type movies and what Americans refer to as "B-movies." Because of a scandal surrounding one of the directors she worked with in the past, some people in the industry treat her pretty bad, making her feel like an outcast. This will all be detailed in the story.
AGE: 22
EXTRA: The idea for the planet Sparta was inspired by info from Laurie Cabot's book The Power of the Witch. This planet does not really exist, as far as we know, though some people believe it does. However, Cruithne really does exist! It is a small asteroid that orbits the sun in a horseshoe pattern, within Earth's orbital plain, causing some astronomers to refer to it as a "second moon" of Earth. It was never really a moon of Sparta, since Sparta does not exist--I made that up. Cruithne's story will be told in a future fanfiction.
Leda is married to Susumu Kodaino. His name is a little joke on my part, because Susumu Kodai is the name of a character from Space Battleship Yamato, my favorite anime. It turns out that Susumu Kodaino means "progresses of the ancient times," which really fits the character pretty well (even if it isn't grammatically correct ~_^). Susumu doesn't know his wife is a senshi at the beginning of her appearance in the story (neither does she, but she finds out, of course). When she starts to act differently and run out at all hours, he comes to a different conclusion... but you'll have to keep up with the story to find out what. ~_^
