SENSHI IDENTITY: Sailorsamhain, The Senshi of the Pagan Holiday Samhain
REAL NAME: Samantha Kishikaisei (Name means Samantha's Revival of the Dead)

WEAPONS AND ATTACKS: Besides her senshi powers, Samantha also has the power to speak to the dead and has strange, prophetic visions.

Veil Relinquishing: Sailorsamhain raises her hand toward the ceiling and cries "Veil Relinquishing!" A white candle appears in her upraised hand; it burns and melts as if it was a film running in fast motion. Its wax forms a melted skull. The flaming wax skull flies at the enemy, laughing maniacally. When the enemy is hit, a group illusion occurs, usually something horrific. The intent is to drive the enemy crazy (even temporarily) with the fearful vision of what is happening to them, or perhaps simply to distract them long enough for someone else to disarm them.
Spirits Second Chance: Kneeling on the ground, Sailorsamhain places her hands together and prays for the help of the 31 spirits of Samhain, which causes the pentacles in her tiara and choker to glow. She then quickly pushes her arms out while opening her hands, and yells, "Spirits Second Chance!" The pentacles flash as 31 spirits/ghosts (one for each day of October) seem to fly through Samhain and out between her outstretched hands. These spirits wear a glowing pentacle on their foreheads to show that they are in Samhain's service. They swoop around the enemy, screeching, moaning, wailing, and hissing to confuse and scare them. This distraction can allow other senshi to attack the enemy. If this enemy is killed or severely weakened by the other senshi, then the 31 spirits would snatch them up and carry them down to the Underworld. The basics of this attack were created for me by one of my readers, Sailor Marla.

TRANSFORMATION: Samantha's trans phrase is "Samhain Wheel of the Year Power, Make-up!" Samantha raises her trans wand from which bats spring forth in a circle of black energy. They swarm around her body, covering her clothes with their wings and clawing at her hair to take it down, which is usually kept up in a ponytail when she is not Samhain. Samantha obligingly shakes her head until her ponytail comes out, then runs her hands through it, and gives the enemy a challenging look. With a heavy clap of her hands, the bats scatter, screeching, and disappear into her hair. She poses as a fully transformed Sailorsamhain.

DESCRIPTION: Hair is very long and black (with orange highlights), and her eyes are red. The fuku of the Sailor Witches is basically the same as the standard fuku, with a few differences--for one, there is no back bow. The bodysuit is a solid color; Samhain's is black, as are her gloves. Her skirt, choker, gauntlettes, front bow, and collar are orange. The stripe on her collar is black. She also wears lace-up black leather boots that reach her thighs. The jewel in her gold tiara, the jewel in her choker, and the middle of her bow are all replaced with a gold pentacle. The rest should be fairly self-explanatory from the picture above.

PLACE IN THE SILVER MILLENIUM: Sailorsamhain was part of a team of Witch Senshi who all came from the asteroid Icarus, in our solar system. Witchcraft was a very important religion on Icarus, which is why seven people from there were given the powers of the Wiccan holidays. Essentially, they are the protectors of the year, and the protectors of their princess, Princess Icarus (Sailoricarus), and their prince, Prince Icarus (Soldierlammas).

OCCUPATION: Lives and works at the Valhalla Commune, helping to maintain a lovely park of flowers and fountains on Witch Hill.

AGE: 20

GUARDIAN: The Witches are guardianed by a fat raccoon named Rooreru, who thinks he is a cat.

SPIRITUAL STUFF: Samhain takes place on October 31st. It is a festival celebrating the spirit world, as this night is supposed to be the one night of the year that the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead is the thinnest. All of the typical traditions of Halloween come from this Pagan holiday. Samhain also marks the onset of winter. Celtic tradition says that those who die during the year must wait until Samhain to cross over to the spirit world. Samhain is the Celtic New Year.
