Soldierchronus
Above art drawn by Nancy. Colored by Laurel. Chronus Thresher drawn by Laurel.
SENSHI IDENTITY: Soldierchronus, Satellite Senshi of Titan
REAL NAME: Mukuro Taihino (Means Tree with a Rotten Heart of Contrast)
AMERICAN DUB NAME ^_^ : Mukuro Taylor
SENSHI COLORS: Light yellowish orange, black, and dark green
TEAM: A member of the Soldier Satellites
WEAPONS AND ATTACKS: Soldierchronus is the keeper of the Chronus Thresher.
- Centrifugal Turmoil: Chronus crouches on the ground, putting the Chronus Thresher down. He says, "Centrifugal Turmoil," and spins the Thresher in a circle. Once the Thresher stops spinning, there follows a beat of silence, and then a circle of yellowish orange energy that surrounds Chronus shoots up from the ground at an angle. It blows back every person in each direction who is within 20 feet of Soldierchronus. The blast of energy feels like being shoved backward very hard, almost like you've been hit by a car that is not going extremely fast.
DESCRIPTION:
PLACE IN THE SILVER MILLENIUM: Chronus was originally the male head of the Satellite Senshi, from the satellite Titan. He was in charge of helping Pluto guard the Time Gate until his death. (I just made that up since Chronus is associated with time; I believe the god Chronus had some associations with Pluto in the manga though.) Once he died, Pluto had to take over the job all for herself. In SM Dark, he was reincarnated as the Tree of Life to serve the senshi in a way no one else had. He redeemed himself, and so was allowed to become a person again. As Soldierchronus, he is nicer than he was in his previous life, as he is trying very hard to make up for his misdeeds.
AGE: Appears about 23
OCCUPATION:
EXTRA: The reason why I kept his first name the same from Japanese version to "dub" version is because I thought Mukuro sounded cool, like a name that would fit a mystical tree. Therefore, it must be carried over to the movie too; it only makes sense.
MYTHOLOGY: Chronus was the youngest of the twelve Greek Titans who married his sister Rhea. He helped Gaia (Earth) dethrone his father Uranus (sky) with an adamantine sickle. Fate said one of his children would dethrone him, so he swallowed each of them after they were born to prevent this. Rhea wanted to protect her children, so when Zeus was born, she hid him, wrapped a large stone in his clothing, and gave the stone to Chronus. He thought it was the child and swallowed it. Zeus grew up and returned to overthrow his father, just as fate had prophesized. Chronus is associated with the harvest and time.
