Miracles Fen Glossary

The "Miracles" Fen Glossary! I'd like for this to eventually be a reference guide for "Miracles," but right now, it simply contains definitions for fan-created nicknames and slang so you, the website visitor, will not get confused by the use of these terms. This glossary also contains a guide for rating your "Miracles" fanfics, if you need advice.

"Miracles" Fen Glossary

Who/What is...?

The Evil Hat = Alva's English driving cap. "Miracles" fan Deejay ("AlvaFan") doesn't like the hat, hence this nickname.

The Hooptie Mobile = Alva's car. "Miracles" fan Deejay ("AlvaFan") started this one; all you have to do is look at Alva's car to understand why. It caught on too. "Hooptie Mobile" is an old bit of slang for a junker.

A MaryOoh = A fictional character created for "Miracles" fanfic (or any, really) who was made solely to have sex with a canon character. Another term that popped into Laurel's head one day which she uses because she likes it.

Paul Head Injury Fic = A fanfic in which Paul receives a head injury. I (Laurel) enjoy using the term, so I thought it'd be a good idea to explain it. He gets them a lot, doesn't he?

The Puppy = Paul. It's a nickname "Miracles" fan Deejay ("AlvaFan") gave him way back in March of 2003, and it stuck with a lot of us. He reminds her of a puppy.

Fanfic Ratings Guide, written by Laurel

This guide does not use the MPAA's rating system because it makes them cranky. :P

AA = All Ages. Content is safe for all ages.

Sup = Parental Supervision. Content is not that bad, but parental supervision is suggested. Mild violence, one or two instances of bad language like the S word and B word, occult subjects are explored lightly, light sexuality like kissing, light scary elements, light adult theme.

Sup13+ = Content might not be suitable for those under the age of 13. Contains a medium level of violence, one or two instances of bad language like the F word, occult subjects are explored a bit more heavily, sexuality gets into some petting/heavy kissing, scary elements would frighten children, adult theme would confuse children.

Adult = Content may not be suitable for those 17 or younger. Violence is heavy/explicit, bad language including multiple uses of the F word and/or other sexually-themed cuss words, occult subjects are explored intensely, at least one full sex scene is written out but is not extremely explicit, very frightening elements, intense adult theme.

Adult17+ = Content is definitely not suitable for those under the age of 17. Violence is disturbingly explicit, bad language including extensive use of the F word and/or other sexually-themed cuss words, occult subjects are explored intensely (including explicit ritualistic sex acts), multiple sex scenes with explicit detail (including descriptions of genitalia), frightening elements are very intense, very intense adult theme.

These are all examples of what your story could contain; the story does not need every element of that rating to get the rating. Use your own discretion.
